Josiah C. Harris

Josiah currently serves as a police officer with the Rochester Police Department (RPD). Throughout his years of service, Josiah quickly realized that professional experience was a great teacher; however, he also identified that there were some theoretical and scholastic concepts that could only be acquired through an academic program or structured teaching. As an instructor/trainer with RPD, Josiah has had the opportunity and privilege to teach new police recruits in the academy, officers who have transferred to RPD, and colleagues during annual in-service trainings. He has also played an instrumental role in providing Stop The Bleed curriculum in a department wide training. Josiah has also taught community members in the Citizen’s Police Academy and is an adjunct professor in the Law and Criminal Justice Department at Monroe Community College.

In addition to his professional experience, Josiah has earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice Administration.
